I had a wonderful time creating for you something new every other week; hope you keep visiting my blog once my term is over.

H2H Glitter Challenge

Well, hello there;
I hope each of you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving Celebration with family and friends.

I had a great time with my family but also spent the majority of my weekend remodeling and getting my craft room ready...I will have pictures when I finish it :0)

But, I do have some photos to share with you today. As you know, every Monday we have a challenge to complete over at the H2H Challenge Blog.

For today, we had to make anything using glitter.

Here is my triangle box:
The box was made from Cranberry CS @ 5-1/2" size [5.5 as stated in the booklet] using the new ARTISTE cartridge from CTMH. I cut a second box from the Pear & Partridge B&T. I put the Cranberry box together; then, from the second box made using the  Pear & Partridge paper collection, I cut 1/4" from one side and from the bottom edge of each panel to make them a bit smaller and use them to enhance the beauty of this box.

The glitter paper used in this box is not from CTMH. I sponged the edges of the glitter strip with Chocolate ink.

The poinsettia was made as follow:
Use the AP cartridge <STAR2> on page 25 and cut the following sizes: 2-1/2", 2-1/4", 2", and 1-1/2" from vellum cardstock [non CTMH]. Then, cut the LAYERS for the same <STAR2> in the same sizes from Cranberry CS. Adhere as pictured; to put the poinsettia together, adhere each size using foam tape.

Rules to participate
  1. Use mostly Close To My Heart products, though it doesn't have to be 100%.
  2. Create your Christmas/Holiday project.
  3. Post your project to your blog or other online gallery.
  4. Come back here and directly link to your blog post, not your blog home page.
  5. Mention Heart 2 Heart somewhere in your blog post indicating that you are playing along with us and link to our site.
  6. Consider adding the H2H badge to your blog. We'd love to spread the word and see more crafters participating!
  7. Finally, you have the whole month of November to join us on any of our November challenges and be eligible for our Top Ten!

 Thanks for visiting my blog.
 Until next time;

H2H Challenge: GRATITUDE

Hello, friends;

Gratitude is an amazing feeling...and showing someone how grateful you are at that person is even a greater feeling.

For today's challenge over @ H2H, we were asked to create something to show gratitude.

A while ago, I made this card but never share it in my blog because the supplies used are not CTMH.

I liked this card so much that I decided to use it as my inspiration to make my card for today's challenge.

Take a look at my new card:

Recipe:
* 6" x 6" card
* 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of black CS
* 2" x 5" piece of black CS
* 1-3/4" x 5" piece of  design paper [non CTMH]
* yellow ribbon
* For Every Ocassion stamp set
 * 1" wide strip of White Daisy CS

To make the flowers, I cut the FLOWER1 using AP on page 21 with the SHIFT option on at the following sizes: 3/4", 1-1/4", 1-3/4", and 2-1/4...cut four pieces of each size to make two flowers...if you only wish to make one flower, then cut two pieces of each size.

I added three jewels/rhinestones on the left bottom corner [can barely be seen on this photo] and the message was stamped on white CS using the For Every Ocassion stamp set.

A Pumpkin for Thanksgiving--FREE Tutorial

Hello, stampers;

Mondays are special days...and today I'm so excited to share with you the project I made to participate in the H2H Challenge of this week: Halloween or Pumpkin.

This is a big pumpkin, big enough to be used as a centerpiece during Thanksgiving dinner.

I used Fall Harvest for the leaves, Flirty B&T Paper for the pumpkin, and Chocolate CS for the stem and veins. This is an easy project, but if you don't have the right measurements, you cannot make it right...so, I'm going to share this tutorial with you.

H2H Rolling Technique

Hello, stampers;

What a wonderful morning celebrating one more challenge over at H2H. We had to create a layout or card using the "rolling Technique".
This is my scrapbook page:
Rolling Technique is simple and easy but has a great WOW effect. It adds dimension and depth to a stamped image. You can use this method to shade an image or add additional color.
Here is how to do it:
** Ink your stamp in one color of ink. Use the lightest shade of your chosen inks.
** Take your stamp and "roll" the edges on a second color of ink. I hold the stamp and just roll it so that the edges pick up the extra ink then stamp it. You can also use a dauber/small sponge to ink the edges of the stamp with the darker color.

The rolling technique was applied onto the leaves I'm using on this scrapbook page. I inked each leaf with Autumn Terracotta, Honey, and Pear; then, I used a dauber to ink the edges of the stamp with Chocolate ink. Each leaf was then stamp on Colonial White CS.

Hope you like this idea and please, feel free to play along with us this week!

Hope you enjoy this card!

We were asked to make mini cards, any size as long as they were smaller than the standard
4-1/4" x 5-1/2" size. Well, my first tought was to make 3" x 3" cards, but I had to find the perfect stamp set to make them.
Looking at my sets, I found the one I wanted to use, and these are the cards I made:

Recipe for each mini card:
* 3" x 6" New England Ivy CS, score @ 3" on the 6" side.
*(1) 2" Chocolate circle

The message, "Happy Holidays" was stamped on the right bottom corner of each card using New England Ivy ink.

H2H Challenge: Sympathy Cards!!

Hello, friends;
The challenge for today is to make a sympathy card...I have to confess this was a big deal for me. I'm not used to make sympathy cards; just thinking how to make a card with such a purpose without looking so festive or crazy is a REAL challenge for me.
Anyway, I tried my best and this is my card:
Recipe:
*Base: 5-1/2" x 11" piece of black CS, score @ 5-1/2" on the 11" side
*5-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Grey Flannel [retired]
*5" x 5" piece of Avonlea BT [new catalog]
*(1) 1-3/4" x 5" piece of black CS
*(1) 1-1/2" x 5" piece of the same Avonlea BT
*Love Blooms stamp set [flower]
*For Every Occasion stamp set [message]
*Black ink
*1/8" Black Ribbon [non CTMH]
*CTMH Bitty Sparkles

To give the flower a more interested look by distressing it with Bamboo ink, but this is optional.
I stamped the message with VersaMark and black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

This is a close up of the flower...I love the final result on this card!!
The stamp sets I chose worked so well with the Avonlea Collection.
I want to invite you to participate this week in our challenge over at H2H...after all, sympathy cards are not so hard to make! :0)

H2H Challenge: Patriotism

Hello, friends;
I'm so happy and excited to start my first challenge as part of the Design Team for the H2H Challenges Blog.

I want to extend a HUGE thank you to the ladies in charge of the challenges over at H2H: Mary Vogel and Haley Dyer for trusting me and for all their hard work to make this a wonderful experience.

I want to also thank the group of ladies that are part of the DT for the next six months; is a great honor to be in the same group as each of you are...we are going to ROCK the challenges together, but above all, we are going to have FUN! together.

The theme for today is to create a project or card showing patriotism for our country.

I'm a new consultant [just started in May], so I did my best to use CTMH products; I created this card with the Art Philoshopy cartridge.

Don't forget to visit all the ladies in the DT so you can also enjoy their lovely creations.

Enjoy!
