Paper Piecing Technique: Free Tutorial

Hello, there;

I made these cards for my twin friends:

Recipe:

*B&T-Dotty for You

*Stamp set-Life is a Tweet [SOTM]

*CS-White and Grey Whool

*Inks-Cocoa, black, Lagoon

*Seam binding ribbon

*Circle punches [2-1/2" and 1/4"]

For the birdie, I used the paper piecing technique.

What is paper piecing?

Paper Piecing is a scrapbook technique which uses patterns to make a pieced design. The pieces of the image are cut out of different papers to make the pieced item more realistic and unique.

A Wedding Invitation for H2H

Hello, there;

This week is a wedding challenge over at H2H.

I was so excited because I just finished 80 wedding invitations for my nephew's wedding and it was perfect for the challenge.

 The wedding colors are nontraditional colors for a wedding:

white, black, and silver.

Wedding invitations were so elegant and both bride and groom were so pleased with the results...and me, too! :0)

The pocket to hold the reception and confirmation cards was made individually by hand using a template I've created myself....lot of work, but it was all worth it!

Picking Strawberries with a Nice Basket

Hello, friends;

Last weekend, I visited a market/plantation farm where you can pick your own berries and peaches; my twins had a BLAST!!

This amazing experience motivated me to create my own berries basket, and here it is...check it out:

I always wanted to make strawberries and mine have chocolates inside...WOW! What a wonderful combination!

I thought it would be harder, but is not, and for your convenience, I'm including a strawberry template as part of the tutorial.

Please, bear with me, I will have it ready as soon as possible.

Ribbon Challenge @ H2H

I visited the H2H Challenge Blog and the challenge was to use any ribbon in your creation...I thought; "Well, that is not so hard to accomplish" and went to work on it. I truly believe that ribbons on cards are like butterflies in flowers...inspiring!

I made a card using the Bee Happy stamp set:
